Privacy Policy

CoFounder AI (“CoFounder AI”, “we”, “us”) provides an AI-assisted workspace that helps founders validate ideas, research markets, plan products, and prepare launches. This policy covers the CoFounder AI website and the signed-in product.

We collect only what the product needs to work:

• Account information — your name, email address, and profile image, handled by our authentication provider when you sign up or sign in with email or Google.
• Startup content — the ideas, descriptions, documents, roadmaps, research, and chat messages you create or submit inside the workspace.
• Billing information — your subscription plan and payment status. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach our servers.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and AI generation counts, used to enforce plan quotas and improve the product.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device information, collected in server logs and used for security and rate limiting.

• To provide the service — generating research, plans, documents, and AI responses you request.
• To maintain your workspace so your startup context persists between sessions.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To process subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations.
• To enforce fair-use quotas and prevent abuse of AI features.
• To communicate with you about service changes, security notices, and support requests.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your startup content to train AI models, and we do not share it with other users.

When you use an AI feature, the relevant prompt and startup context are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. That content is processed to serve your request and is returned to you. We only send what is needed for the feature you invoked.

We rely on a small number of processors, each handling a specific function:

• Clerk — authentication, session management, and account records.
• Anthropic — AI model processing for generation features.
• Neon — the managed database storing your workspace and saved outputs.
• Razorpay — subscription payments and billing. Card data is handled entirely by Razorpay.
• Vercel — application hosting, delivery, and privacy-friendly analytics.

Each provider receives only the data required to perform its function, and is bound by its own contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

We keep your account and workspace content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete the associated workspace content, except where we are required to keep records — for example, transaction records retained for tax and accounting purposes.

Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Access to production systems is restricted, sessions are managed by a dedicated authentication provider, and the application enforces a strict content security policy along with rate limiting on AI endpoints. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures.

You can, at any time:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information from your account settings.
• Export the startup content you have created.
• Delete your account and its associated content.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics are aggregate and do not build individual visitor profiles.

CoFounder AI is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change significantly affects your rights, notify you by email.
